They form a contract between you, the reader, and <strong>Peter Ngo</strong> - a sole trader based in the United Kingdom (&quot;we&quot;, &quot;us&quot;, &quot;our&quot;). The handbook is a single, one-time purchase. There is no subscription, no account, no recurring charge. By purchasing, you agree to the points below.</p>\n<h2 id=\"who-youre-buying-from\">Who you&#39;re buying from</h2>\n<p><strong>The content licensor.</strong> Peter Ngo is the author and licensor of the handbook. Contact: <strong>sleeptraininghandbook@gmail.com</strong>.</p>\n<p><strong>The Merchant of Record.</strong> Payment is processed by <strong>Lemon Squeezy</strong>, who acts as Merchant of Record for the transaction. Lemon Squeezy is the legal seller for the purchase itself: they take payment, handle sales tax and VAT in your jurisdiction, issue the receipt, and process refunds and chargebacks. The receipt comes from Lemon Squeezy on our behalf. Lemon Squeezy&#39;s terms apply to the payment relationship; ours apply to the use of the handbook.</p>\n<p>Card, tax, and receipt questions go to Lemon Squeezy. Access, content, and refund-follow-up questions come to us.</p>\n<h2 id=\"what-youre-buying\">What you&#39;re buying</h2>\n<p>A one-time purchase of $15 USD (or local equivalent at the rate set at checkout) that gives you <strong>lifetime personal access</strong> to the handbook reader, on any device you choose.</p>\n<p>&quot;Lifetime access&quot; means for as long as the site is operating. We don&#39;t promise the site will operate forever; if it&#39;s ever taken down we&#39;ll give as much notice as we reasonably can, and refund-policy commitments still apply within the fourteen-day window of any affected purchase. The handbook is delivered as a complete reader at the moment of purchase. We may update the text (typos, clarifications, new appendix scenarios) but the substantive method described at the time you bought will remain available.</p>\n<p>The purchase does not include live coaching, a one-to-one plan, a community, or any human follow-up beyond direct replies if you write in.</p>\n<h2 id=\"the-licence\">The licence</h2>\n<p>We grant you a <strong>personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence</strong> to read, reread, save, and print the handbook for use within your own household. This includes discussing the ideas with a partner, family member, caregiver, GP, health visitor, or sleep professional involved in your child&#39;s care.</p>\n<h2 id=\"what-you-may-not-do\">What you may not do</h2>\n<ul><li>Share the paid access link or cookie publicly, or in any way that makes the reader available to people who haven&#39;t bought it.</li><li>Resell, redistribute, or repackage the text - including as part of a course, app, or AI assistant - whether free or paid.</li><li>Mass-extract, scrape, or download the reader at scale.</li><li>Train, fine-tune, or feed the text to machine-learning systems.</li></ul>\n<p>If misuse is detected, we may rotate the access signing secret. Legitimate buyers can re-enter via the link inside their Lemon Squeezy receipt; a fresh cookie is set on the next visit.</p>\n<h2 id=\"how-access-works\">How access works</h2>\n<p>After purchase, a long-lived signed access cookie called `psh-access` is set in your browser. It contains a signed token, not your email or card details, and is set with the `Secure` and `HttpOnly` attributes so it can&#39;t be read by page scripts and can&#39;t travel over an unencrypted connection. Full detail on the <a href=\"/privacy/\">privacy page</a>.</p>\n<p>If you switch device, clear cookies, or use a different browser, the simplest way back in is the access link inside your Lemon Squeezy receipt. That link stays valid for <strong>five years from the date of purchase</strong>. If you can&#39;t find the receipt, the <a href=\"/access/email-link/\">I already have access</a> page explains how to ask for a manual resend from the address you bought with.</p>\n<p>We don&#39;t lock the cookie to a single device, on the understanding that the licence is for personal household use.</p>\n<h2 id=\"what-the-handbook-is-not\">What the handbook is not</h2>\n<p>The handbook is a parent-written guide. It is <strong>not</strong> medical, psychological, or clinical advice. It is not personalised to your child, and it is not a substitute for paediatric, mental-health, or any other professional care.</p>\n<p>If something about your child&#39;s sleep, behaviour, breathing, feeding, or development is worrying you, please speak to your GP, health visitor, or paediatrician - and follow your local public-health authority&#39;s safe-sleep guidance where it differs from anything you read here. The full <a href=\"/safety/\">safety note</a> is short, public, and always reachable.</p>\n<p>The handbook does not promise that your child will sleep through by a particular date. It describes a structured approach used by a range of families, typically over two to six weeks. It cannot, and does not, guarantee an outcome.</p>\n<h2 id=\"refunds\">Refunds</h2>\n<p>Every purchase is refundable for <strong>fourteen days</strong> from the date of purchase. The full process is on the <a href=\"/refund-policy/\">refund policy</a>. The fourteen-day window is voluntary, not a statutory minimum. <strong>Nothing in these terms removes any statutory consumer right you have in your country of residence</strong>, including under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, the Australian Consumer Law, or applicable US state law.</p>\n<h2 id=\"suspension-of-access\">Suspension of access</h2>\n<p>If a purchase is reversed - by refund, chargeback, or fraud claim - continued use of the gated reader is no longer authorised under the licence. As noted, we may rotate access credentials if misuse is detected.</p>\n<p>For access disputes: <strong>sleeptraininghandbook@gmail.com</strong> from the email address you used at checkout.</p>\n<h2 id=\"limitation-of-liability\">Limitation of liability</h2>\n<p>The handbook is provided in good faith and to the best of the author&#39;s ability as a parent who has been through it. To the fullest extent permitted by the law of your country of residence, our liability arising out of or in connection with the handbook is limited to the amount you paid for it.</p>\n<p>Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any liability that under UK consumer law (or its equivalent in your jurisdiction) cannot be excluded as against a consumer.</p>\n<h2 id=\"governing-law-and-jurisdiction\">Governing law and jurisdiction</h2>\n<p>These terms are governed by the laws of <strong>England and Wales</strong>. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms. If you are a consumer resident outside England and Wales, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-law rules of your country of residence, including the right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country where local law requires it.</p>\n<h2 id=\"changes-to-these-terms\">Changes to these terms</h2>\n<p>Material changes will be summarised at the top of this page for at least thirty days.
